Answer-Shaped Pages vs Promotional Pages

State the answer. Then support it.

An answer-shaped page states the fact or the distinction in the first paragraph and then supports it with context, references, and links. A promotional page leads with the offer or the brand and buries the answer, if it contains one. Answer engines and AI systems cite the first kind more readily because the sentence they need is already written.

The difference is practical. A page that answers “Is raw milk legal in Texas?” with the permit name, the sales limits, and the agency in the opening paragraph can be cited. A page that opens with a slogan and never names the permit usually cannot. The same pattern holds for theology, music credits, or product definitions. The economic return sits in the queries that currently resolve to pages that do not answer.

This is not a claim that every answer-shaped page will rank. It is an observation that the systems currently favor pages that make the answer extractable, and that many categories still lack them. The work is to write the direct version first.
